We want every visitor to use this site with ease. Austin Lakeside Properties works to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and we give you built-in tools plus a direct line to ask for help.
Our commitment
Buying or selling a Lake Travis home is a big step, and the search for one should never be the hard part. We build and maintain this website with the goal of clear, usable pages for people of all abilities, including those who rely on screen readers, keyboards, or larger text.
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These are the standards many organizations use to measure how usable a website is for people with disabilities. We check our pages against them, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a one-time task.
Built-in accessibility tools
Look for the accessibility button in the lower-left corner of every page. Open it to turn on the settings you need. Your choices are saved on your device and stay on as you move from page to page.
High contrast
Boost color contrast to help text and buttons stand out from the background.
Underline links
Add an underline to every link so they are simple to spot within a block of text.
Readable font
Switch decorative headings to a plain, straightforward font for smoother reading.
Press the Reset button in the same panel to clear every setting and return to the default view.
Keyboard and screen reader support
You can move through this site without a mouse. Use the Tab key to step forward through links, buttons, and menus, and Shift plus Tab to step back. Press Enter or the Space bar to open a link or activate a button. A visible focus outline shows where you are on the page.
Every page begins with a Skip to main content link, so keyboard and screen reader users can jump past the menu and reach the main text right away. We write descriptive link text, label our menus and forms, add alt text to meaningful images, and keep a logical heading order so assistive technology can follow along.
